Dr. Prasad Reddy Kasu
Founder, Maxivision Eye Hospitals | Transforming Global Eye Health | Visionary & Trailblazing Ophthalmologist, and other Innovative Technologies for India
Dr. Prasad Reddy Kasu is the Founder and Co-Chairman of Maxivision Eye Hospitals, one of India’s leading multi-specialty eye care institutions. With over three decades of experience in ophthalmology, Dr. Kasu is widely recognized for introducing advanced refractive and cataract surgical technologies to India, including early adoption of LASIK and other laser vision correction procedures. His career began with international training and practice in the United Kingdom, where he established the first Excimer laser centre and served as an authorised medical examiner for the UK Civil Aviation Authority. Driven by a vision to bring world-class eye care to India, he returned home and built Maxivision from the ground up with a focus on ethical, patient-centred care and technology-driven outcomes.
Pullela Gopichand
Indian former badminton player and the current Chief National Coach for India’s National Badminton team
Pullela Gopichand is a celebrated former Indian badminton player and the current Chief National Coach of India’s national badminton team. He is best known for winning the prestigious All England Open Badminton Championship in 2001, becoming only the second Indian, after Prakash Padukone, to achieve this title. As a coach, Gopichand has been instrumental in India’s rise on the world badminton stage, mentoring Olympic medallists such as Saina Nehwal and P.V. Sindhu, and shaping the careers of numerous international competitors. His contributions to Indian sport have been recognised with several of the country’s top honours, including the Arjuna Award, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, the Dronacharya Award, and the Padma Bhushan.
Dr. Rakesh Kalapala

Dr. Rakesh Kalapala is a Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist and Director of Endoscopy at the Centre for Obesity & Metabolic Therapy at AIG Hospitals, Hyderabad. With extensive clinical experience in advanced gastroenterological and endoscopic procedures, he specialises in managing complex conditions related to obesity, metabolic syndrome, gastrointestinal motility disorders, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Dr. Kalapala’s expertise includes procedures such as endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty, intragastric balloons, and endotherapy for GERD, reflecting his commitment to combining therapeutic innovation with patient-centred care. Beyond his clinical roles, he serves as a key leader at the AI & MedTech Alliance Foundation, a nonprofit initiative advancing healthcare innovation at the intersection of artificial intelligence, medical technology, and community health.
Dr. Anurag Mairal

Dr. Anurag Mairal is an internationally recognised innovator, academic, and entrepreneur in medical technology and global health. He serves as an Adjunct Professor of Medicine and Director of Global Outreach Programs at the Stanford Mussallem Center for Biodesign, Stanford University, where he leads initiatives to scale healthcare innovations for low-resource settings and mentors future leaders in health technology development. His work spans academia, industry, and global health nonprofits, with past leadership roles at PATH and strategic positions at major healthcare companies. Dr. Mairal has helped establish biodesign programs that bridge clinical needs with technology solutions, and he holds advanced degrees, including a PhD and an MBA. He is also actively involved in fostering innovation ecosystems through affiliations with global advisory boards and healthcare alliances such as the Bharat Biodesign initiative, reflecting his commitment to translating research into impactful, scalable health technologies.
