Fall Prevention
& Geriatric Movement Care

Overview

Falls are one of the most common and serious health concerns among older adults, often leading to fractures, loss of independence, and reduced quality of life. Age-related changes such as reduced muscle strength, impaired balance, joint stiffness, vision problems and slower reflexes increase risk of falls. A fall can result in fractures, hospitalization or long-term functional decline, while fear of falling itself often leads to decreased activity levels, social withdrawal, and further weakening of physical capacity. Preventing falls is therefore critical to maintain health, mobility, and quality of life.

At CSSH, our Fall Prevention & Geriatric Care Program is designed to reduce these risks by addressing root causes, including poor balance, muscle weakness, postural instability, and environmental hazards.

Our approach begins with a detailed assessment of mobility, balance, and musculoskeletal (MSK) health, followed by personalized exercise plans that focus on strengthening lower limb muscles, improving core stability, and enhancing balance reactions. We also incorporate gait training, posture correction, and flexibility exercises to ensure safe and confident movement in daily life. Beyond physical training, our fall prevention program entails holistic approach including education on safe home environments, fall risk awareness, strategies for maintaining independence, and lifestyle modification.

For the general elderly population, it helps restore confidence, reduce fear of falling, and preserve long-term independence. For athletes transitioning into older age, our program ensures sustained mobility and activity without compromising safety. We provide targeted rehab to regain strength and mobility safely.
