Overview
The shoulder, hip, and knee joints are central to almost every movement we perform, from basic daily tasks to high-level athletic performance. Shoulder, hip, and knee are among the most commonly injured joints due to their central role in daily movement. Sports performance, weakness, instability, or restricted mobility in these joints can lead to pain, impaired function, and compensatory patterns that strain other parts of the body. For athletes, even minor deficits in joint strength or flexibility can reduce efficiency, power, and endurance. At the same time, in the general population these issues significantly increase the risk of falls, progression of arthritis, or chronic musculoskeletal discomfort. Without proper assessment, underlying weaknesses often remain unnoticed until they develop into significant injuries.
At CSSH, we place special focus on assessing these joints because they are the most commonly affected by overuse, injury, and age-related degeneration.
Our assessment protocol involves evaluating joint range of motion, muscular strength, stability, and flexibility through a combination of manual tests and advanced diagnostic tools. For athletes, this helps identify weaknesses or asymmetries that may limit speed, power, or endurance and increase the risk of injuries such as rotator cuff tears, hip impingements, or ligament strains. For the general population, it highlights issues contributing to chronic pain, stiffness, or reduced mobility in daily life.
Based on these assessments, our physiotherapists create individualized programs that focus on improving strength, enhancing mobility, correcting imbalances, and supporting long-term joint health. Whether it’s recovering from injury, preparing for sport, or preventing future problems, CSSH ensures a precise and patient-centered approach.
